Southwest Academic Team Wins Fifth Straight KAAC Governor's Cup Regional Championship

Southwest Calloway Elementary School's Academic Team finished first overall at the KAAC Governor's Cup Regional Competition in Paducah on February 28th. This is the fifth straight year Southwest's team has won the regional championship.

The Future Problem Solving team finished first in their event, and the Quick Recall team finished as runners up.

Cade Musser earned first place in Language Arts and Social Studies. Emry Munoz placed first overall in science, and Elizabeth Swatzell earned first in Arts and Humanities.

Clay Grogan placed third in Composition, and Mason Purdy earned fourth in Language Arts.

The team is coached by Southwest teacher Eden Boyd.
