North Academic Team Finishes as District Governor's Cup Runners Up

North Calloway Elementary School's academic team finished second overall in district Governor's Cup competition on February 7th. 

Numerous North students earned individual honors to help score points for their team.

Rashid Mistareehi finished first overall in mathematics. Bryce Pile earned first in arts and humanities and fourth in science. Also in science, Dex Darnall finished second and Lucas Hisch took third. Kallen Hendrick placed fourth in mathematics, and Zalea Paul earned fifth in language arts. Dava Chadwick placed fifth in composition.

The students now move on to regional competition in late February.

The team is coached by Amberlie Morris, Katelyn McClard, and Hastings Birdsong.
