CCMS MathCOUNTS Team Excels in State Competition

Calloway County Middle School's MathCOUNTS team finished sixth at the state championship held at Western Kentucky University on March 8^th . Team members include Kyler McKeel, Sam Davenport, Zack Haws, and Ava Bogard.

The Lakers also earned special individual recognition. Ava Bogard placed as one of the highest scoring individuals at the state tournament. Bogard's score was high enough to officially rank her as the 9^th place finisher in the state. This award came with several scholarship distinctions, including a $6,000 scholarship to the University of Louisville. 

The Calloway Middle MathCOUNTS team is coached by Dan Thompson.
