CCMS Academic Team Earns Honors at MSU History Day

Calloway County Middle School’s academic team finished first overall in the U.S. History division at the Western Kentucky History Competition hosted March 4th by the Murray State University Department of History.
The Lakers claimed all of the top four spots in U.S. History with Mason Falwell being named the individual champion, Theodore Perlow as runner-up, Collin Naber in third place, and Ava Bogard in fourth place. The U.S. History Team is made up by Ava Bogard, Daniel Briedwell, Jayden Burkeen, Mason Falwell, Collin Naber, Theodore Perlow, Andy Rogers, and Ally Turner.
In the World History division, the Lakers finished in second overall as a team, with Kyler McKeel earning honors as the individual champion. The World History Team consisted of Braxton Cossey, Sam Davenport, Andrew Dunnaway, Hayden Gilbert, Emma Grogan, Leah Hughes, Nathan Langley, and Kyler McKeel.
