Jese Solis is the September ATC Rotary Student of the Month

Calloway County High School senior Jese Solis has been named the September Area Technology Center Student of the Month by the Rotary Club of Murray.

“She is always upbeat, willing to help anyone and everyone, has great leadership skills, and is a very hard worker,” said ATC principal Dan Hicks.

Solis is a standout student in the ATC’s culinary classroom, as she will serve as the Front of House manager for this year’s ATC bistro. At CCHS, Solis has earned a 3.51 grade point average through her junior year. As a senior, she is enrolled in a dual credit class, COM 161, and a manufacturing engineering class.

Outside the classroom, Solis is a member of the Education Rising chapter, Spanish Club, and Interact Club. In the community, Solis is a member of Calloway County Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention and is a member of the student council at the Calloway County Public Library.

After high school, Solis plans to attend Murray State University and is undecided on career choice, but is interested in becoming a pediatric nurse or a librarian.
