CCHS Student Kaylee Tharp Named Murray Bank and Murray Ledger Student of the Year

Calloway County High School senior Kaylee Tharp was named the 2025 Student of the Year by The Murray Bank and Murray Ledger & Times. She received a $1,000 scholarship for the award, and CCHS also receives $1,000 on her behalf.

Tharp has a 4.0 grade point average and scored a 33 composite on The ACT Test. She is on track to be a valedictorian during May graduation.

Tharp is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Interact club, Academic Team, and golf team. She was a member of the 2024 Kentucky Governor's Scholars Program. 

After graduation, Tharp plans to attend the University of Kentucky to major in chemistry and minor in media studies. She is the daughter of David and Amanda Tharp.
