CCHS Senior Miles Edwards Accepted to Brown-Forman Engineering Academy at University of Louisville

Calloway County High School senior Miles Edwards has been accepted to the 2026 cohort of the Brown-Forman Engineering Academy (BFEA) at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville.

BFEA is a unique two-week, on campus experience in July designed to support student transition into engineering at Speed School. Over the course of the program, Edwards will connect with 23 other incoming first-year students, as well as current students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Students visit engineering companies, meet the deans, participate in student success seminars, and receive daily support with calculus prep.

Edwards will be attending the University of Louisville in the fall and is planning to major in biomedical engineering. At CCHS, he is on pace to graduate with honors in May with a 3.6 grade point average. He has taken numerous dual credit and AP courses at CCHS, in addition to being in the Laker Band, Robotics Club, and STEM Club. Edwards also works part time at 7 Brew Coffee in Murray.

Miles is the son of Jaime Edwards and Michael Edwards.
