CCHS Senior Garrett McCuiston is the March ATC Rotary Student of the Month

Calloway County High School senior Garrett McCuiston has been named the Area Technology Center's March Student of the Month by the Rotary Club of Murray.

McCuiston is a standout student in the ATC's electrical program. In high school, he has completed the electrical pathway and currently works in a cooperative for half of the school day with Triton Electric. In all classes at CCHS and ATC, McCuiston holds a stellar 3.9 grade point average. This year, he also received a regional AGC Student of the Week honor.

Outside of the classroom, McCuiston competed for the SkillsUSA team in electrical. As a senior, he also competed for the Laker golf team. In the community, he holds a part time job at Don Sol in Murray and also attends Hardin Baptist Church.

After graduating in May, McCuiston plans to attend West Kentucky Community and Technical College in Paducah. At WKCTC, he plans to take classes in the industrial and electrical track. He hopes to pursue a career as an electrician and eventually as an electrical inspector.

Garrett is the son of Derrick and Jamie McCuiston.
