CCHS Senior Aubrey Naber Receives Murray State Presidential Fellowship Scholarship

Calloway County High School senior Aubrey Naber has been awarded the Presidential Fellowship scholarship from Murray State University. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition, on-campus housing, and a meal plan. In order for the fellowship to be renewed yearly, recipients must maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA, full-time status, participate in the Honors College, and participate in research in the appropriate academic discipline.

“It is a privilege to welcome this exceptional group of students to Murray State University,” said University President Dr. Ron K. Patterson. “Their dedication to academic excellence is remarkable, and we are proud to provide a rigorous, high-impact curriculum that will inspire, challenge, and support each of our Presidential Fellows as they work toward their professional and personal aspirations.”

Naber holds a 4.0 grade point average and is on track to be a Valedictorian upon graduation this month. She also scored a perfect 36 on The ACT Test. 

As a junior and senior, Naber has been enrolled in eight dual credit or Advanced Placement classes. She was a 2025 selection for the Governor's Scholars Program at Morehead State University.

Outside of the classroom, Naber is highly involved with numerous groups. She is the president of the CCHS Future Business Leaders of America chapter. She is also on the school's academic team and a part of the Future Problem Solving team. That team finished second at the FPS International competition in June. She is also in the school's Beta Club, Interact Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, and Future Farmers of America. She is also a student-athlete, competing for the Laker golf and tennis teams.

In the community, Naber is a member of the Journey Church. She also volunteers as a coach for the CCMS academic team.

At Murray State, Naber is plans study education to become a middle school English and math teacher.

Aubrey is the daughter of Casey and Jessica Naber.
