CCHS Hires Patrick Keeney and Lynsey Smith as Assistant Principals

Calloway County High School has hired Patrick Keeney and Lynsey Smith as their new assistant principals for the 25-26 school year. They replace Bobby Love, who will become the new CCHS head principal, and Greg Butler, who will retire this summer.
Keeney has extensive educational leadership experience, previously serving as a principal, associate principal, assistant principal, and instructional coach in Fayette and Scott counties.
“I am excited to join the CCHS family and to serve the students, parents, and faculty,” said Keeney. “I’m proud to become a part of this special community. A commitment to family and community is at the heart of my move to Calloway County. I have an amazingly supportive wife, Morgan, along with our children, Briggs and Ryan, whom are thrilled to make Calloway County their home.”
Lynsey Smith will move from the district’s central office to her new position at CCHS. She has served the district for the last four years as the Director of Special Education. Before that, she worked as a teacher at North Calloway Elementary School. Her husband, Jesse, is a teacher at North and they have two daughters, River and Stella, entering fifth grade at the school.
"I am honored and excited to step into the role of Assistant Principal at Calloway County High School,” said Smith. “This opportunity allows me to continue my passion for supporting students, empowering teachers, and building a positive school culture. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and families to help every student thrive.”
Keeney and Smith will start their new positions on July 1st.
