CCHS Future Problem Solving Students Take Second in International Competition

Calloway County High School's Future Problem Solving Team placed second overall at the FPS International Conference held at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN on June 8th. The second-place finish was out of 262 teams representing 30 states and 11 countries. Over 1465 students competed in this global event.

The Lakers earned 2nd place in the Senior Global Issues competition. The team created a six-step plan to address “The Future of History”. Their plan focused on ways to preserve, protect, and safeguard historical knowledge, sites, structures, records, and artifacts in the future. The team spent months researching and brainstorming issues related to the preservation of history to prepare for this event.

The Lakers are coached by Cassidy McAllister and were assisted by Lane Springer and Erica Gray.
