CCHS FFA Earns Numerous Awards and State Qualifiers at Purchase Region FFA Day

Calloway County’s Future Farmers of America chapter earned numerous honors at the Purchase Region FFA Day on March 26th at the Curris Center at Murray State University.

From FFA Day and other qualifying events, the CCHS FFA now has 34 individual state qualifiers who will compete in Lexington at the state competition in June.

Emerson Herndon was named the regional champion in Greenhouse Public Speaking. In numerous other events, other state qualifiers include Lila Fulton, Collin Naber, Maddalynn Fearn, Aiden Overbey, Dakotah Pittman, Elijah Rudolph, Abby Hathcock, and Luke Johnson.

Elijah Rudolph was the regional champion in Beef Bowl. The senior quiz bowl team of Aubrey Coles, Jaylee McLeod, Ella Martin, and Elijah Rudolph finished as regional runners up. Other students earning superior ratings were Ella Burkeen, Gabby Yocum, Mason Falwell, Jaylee McLeod, and the parliamentary procedure team of Jaylee McLeod, Grayson Roberts, Evan Falwell, Bella Norsworthy, Lila Fulton, Aubrey Coles, and Mason Falwell.
