CCHS FBLA Earns Numerous Awards at Region 1 Leadership Conference

Calloway County High School's Future Business Leaders of America took 116 students to the Region 1 Leadership Conference at Murray State University on March 2nd.

Laker FBLA is the largest chapter in Region 1 and were awarded the Bronze in Local Leadership Challenge.

Idaly Alvarado was elected as the next regional vice president, and Kaiden Capps was named the next regional secretary.

CCHS boasts sixteen first place finishes at the event. 

Winners included Hillary Bohannon, Addy Finley, and Sarah Doyle in Business Ethics; Halle Allred, Payton Conklin, Kaylee Cooper, and Brilee Garland in Community Service Project; and Vayla Carlisle, Sadie Lilly, and Madison Morris in Digital Animation. In Entrepreneurship, Max Chapman, Jake Davenport, and Ben Stokalosa took top honors, while Aubrey Naber won Future Business Educator and Kaiden Capps won Human Resource Management. Mason Falwell placed first in Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure, and Colin Naber earned first in Introduction to Retail and Merchandising. Ella Martin won Journalism; Jackson Ames, Lily Grace Jansma, and Connor Pile led Marketing; and Will Lanier finished first in Personal Finance. Cammy Lefko and Maya Munoz earned first in Public Service Announcement, and Retail Management was won by Madison Rushing. Cindy Damian, Exxon Jimenez, and Nic Murrell led Social Media Strategies, while Hadley Rushing won Technology Support and Services, and Quinlyn Moore earned first place in Website Design.

Laker FBLA also earned 13 runner-up finishes, including students Hayden Gilbert, Rainey Miller, Allie Speelman, Olivia Perkins, Kameron Myers, Aiden Hooper, Ingrith Lira, Caroline Ordunez, Gabby Yocum, Addy Lusk, Matthew Briedwell, Trent Jones, Ava Bogard, Emily French, Elle Rekow, Jillian Stovall, Abby Brown, Aubrey Coles, and Meghan Scott Duncan.

Eight Laker FBLA entries took third place, including students Heidi Mott, Leah Hughes, Aliyah Byerly, Charlie Barnes, Sam Davenport, Teddy Perlow, Bryce Barnes, Jaxon Wallace, Hailee Jones, Emerson Herndon, Carrington Pruitt, and LaNiah Arrieta.
