CCHS Academic Team Wins 2025 JV Challenge Championship

Calloway County High School's academic team placed first overall for the fourth year in a row in the 2025 KAAC JV Challenge tournament held on November 1st at Ballard Memorial High School. The tournament featured 9th and 10th grade competitors from Ballard, Calloway, McCracken, and St. Mary High Schools. The Lakers earned 102.5 points, with McCracken earning 40 points, and St. Mary and Ballard earning 18 and 4.5 points respectively.
In team events, the Lakers went undefeated in Quick Recall, defeating Ballard 31-0 in the first round, McCracken 26-19 in round 2, and McCracken again 32-15 in the final round of the double elimination tournament.
