Accommodations, Modifications, Supports at home

In our classroom, we have a wide range of skills and abilities.  To best meet the needs of all students, we provide the following accommodations/modifications/supports during our small groups:

  • Reader (let them start reading or try reading, then support or read as needed)
  • Scribe (talk through the work with the student and write their response)
  • Highlight/trace (write their answer in highlighter and then have them trace)
  • Verbal prompts/cues (guide them to the answer without giving them the answer)
  • Pre-cut/organize manipulatives (I don’t think any of the packets require
