Volunteers

Thank you for choosing to volunteer at Calloway County Schools! Student safety is our highest priority, and to ensure the safety of our students, volunteers must receive training and complete two background screenings.

Please follow the steps below in order to become a volunteer at Calloway County Schools.

Step 1:

Watch the volunteer training video on YouTube. The video is just under eight minutes.

Step 2:

Complete the online form verifying your information and your video training.

Step 3:

Visit this website - Kentucky Online Gateway - to complete a CAN check. It will cost $10 online.

Instructions for the CAN check can be found right here. CAN checks are good for two years.

On the CAN check application, please include catherine.morris@calloway.kyschools.us as an agency that can receive results.

(Current employees that wish to volunteer at another school do not need to complete Steps 3 and 4.)

Step 4:

Visit the district office with these items:

1.) Your driver's license or other state issued photo ID

2.) $10 in cash to pay for your background check (good for two years)

Step 5:

Once approved by the district office, we will contact you to let you know you are ready to volunteer.

Step 6:

Contact your school and ask them how and when you can volunteer.
