Calloway County Middle School SBDM council have announced they have selected Jodi Butler as the school’s new principal for the 2022-23 school year.
Butler has spent the last eight years as the assistant principal at Calloway County Middle School. Mrs. Butler has also served as an administrator at Southwest Calloway Elementary, the Calloway County Alternative Instructional Facility, and Reidland High School. Before becoming an administrator, Butler was a chemistry and biology teacher at Marshall County High School, Graves County High School, and Reidland High School.
“I am honored to be chosen to lead such an outstanding faculty, staff, and student body,” Butler said. “I cannot wait to see what we can accomplish at Calloway County Middle School.”
“Mrs. Butler was an excellent choice by the SBDM council,” Superintendent Tres Settle said. “She knows the CCMS students, teachers, and parents extremely well and has had great success as an administrator. I know she will maintain the great things we have going at CCMS but also continue to improve the school in the future.”
Butler is a Murray State Alum and is married to Greg Butler, CCHS assistant principal. They have three sons: Isaiah, Cade, and Jonah. Butler will begin as principal on July 1st.
