Bella Swain Named April Rotary Student of the Month

Calloway County High School senior Bella Swain has been named the April Student of the Month by the Murray Rotary Club.

Swain is a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she serves as the president. She is also a member of the CCHS track team.

Swain has excelled at the regional and state competition levels in FBLA and FFA. In FBLA, she was regional champion, fourth in the state, and a national qualifier in Community Service. Her FFA team were regional champions  for parliamentary procedure as well as Goat and Sheep Impromptu, advancing to the state level during her sophomore year. This year for FFA, her team were regional runners-up and will be attending state this summer. She was the Purchase Region FFA Reporter for the year 2021-2022.

Swain has received an Outstanding Student Award in Accelerated Algebra. She was also a member of CCHS Leadership Tomorrow where she was able to tour many different organizations in Calloway County.

She also regularly serves her community, and her work includes the Caring and Sharing Food Pantry, Helping His Kids with Hardin Baptist Church, Mission Trips in Chicago and Nicaragua, Vacation Bible School, Princess and Superhero Breakfast for FBLA, and the canned food drive for FFA.

Bella is the daughter of Brian and Heather Swain and a member of Hardin Baptist Church. After high school, she plans to attend Murray State University and major in Nursing, and eventually earn a Master's degree in Midwifery.
