W. Earl Brown and Carrie Brown Visit CCHS


W. Earl Brown and Carrie Brown visited with students at Calloway County High School on February 23. Mr. and Mrs. Brown are both alumni of Calloway County High School in the Classes of 1981 and 1985 respectively. Mr. Brown was in Calloway County as the featured speaker in Murray State’s Presidential Lecture Series.

Mr. Brown is a well-known actor, writer, and producer and has over 150 credits during his over 30 years in show business. Most recently, Mr. Brown has recently appeared in The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian, two new series from the Star Wars universe streaming on Disney Plus. Mr. Brown is currently preparing to play the role of George Wallace in the upcoming film Shirley. Mr. Brown also has memorable roles in the TV series Deadwood and True Detective, and from the films There Is Something About Mary and Meat Loaf: To Hell and Back.

Mrs. Brown currently works for The Walt Disney Company as their Vice President of Internal Communications & Communications Operations in their Media Entertainment & Distribution branch. Mrs. Brown has been with Disney for three years but spent much of her career as a freelance communications consultant. Mrs. Brown has also been a chair of the board on the Burbank Arts for All foundation.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown spoke to students about their incredible and unique stories, both of which started in Calloway County. They took many questions from students and emphasized the importance of work ethic, networking, and chasing your dreams.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown were married in 1989 and have a daughter, Anna, who recently graduated from University of Oregon. They reside in Burbank, CA, just outside of Los Angeles.
