CCHS senior Brice McClure has been named the ATC November Rotary Student of the Month.
McClure has engaged in the Welding program at ATC for 4 years. His GPA is 3.3 overall and 4.0 in Welding. He has learned every facet of welding at ATC and has excelled in the program. Since the passing of ATC welding teacher Chris Rose, McClure has been instrumental in coming to the basic level welding classes that he is not in and helping instruct, test, and score first year students. Brice has excelled in the classes with his ablilty to teach and instruct basic level welding students.
ATC Principal Dan Hicks is incredibly proud of this outstanding student.
"I feel with the proper training he may be able to teach welding classes. He is a leader in the Welding class and deserves recognition," said Hicks.
McClure is a current member of FFA and Skills USA. In his free time, he enjoys building vehicles, fishing and hunting. After graduating high school, McClure plans to attend Lincoln Tech in Nashville to specialize in heavy machinery.
Brice is the son of Jason and Tara McClure of Murray.
