The Kentucky Academy for Technology in Education (KATE) provides an exceptional resource for teachers to use to incorporate technology into their classrooms. KATE has created a free online, searchable database of lesson plans and classroom activities for teachers to use. The Technology in Classrooms of Kentucky (TICK) database was created by and is maintained by Kentucky in-service and pre-service teachers. This database is very selective in that every item in the database must have a technology component for teacher and/or student use. Each item is aligned to appropriate state and national student and teachers standards including the Kentucky Program of Studies Technology indicators for students. We recommend our faculty and staff use this resource first when searching for technology activities.
