CCMS Advances to Regionals in History Bee and Science Bee


The Calloway County Middle School History Bee and Science Bee Teams have qualified for the regional finals sponsored by the International Academic Competitions organization. Calloway entered seventeen students into the Online Regional Qualifying Exam and all seventeen placed high enough to be selected for the next round of competition to be held in Memphis, TN. This next phase consists of the top-scoring students from multiple regions across the United States challenging “head-to-head” against each other in a quick recall formatted competition.  The Lakers will be competing for a chance to qualify for the National Finals to be held later this summer!  


The Calloway Middle History Bee team members are Tommy Gomez, Luis Lira, Sam Houston, Grant Todd, Aiden Hooper, Mariana Hughes, Lillie Russell, Sean Williams, and Molly Pierce.  The Science Bee team members are Max Chapman, Sam Houston, Will Lanier, Connor Pile, Mariana Hughes, Aiden Hooper, Divine Ezinma, Sarah Doyle, Brayan Ventura, Lillie Russell, and Ella Martin. The History Bee team is coached by Mitch Hultman and the Science Bee team is coached by Scott Pile.
