Contact Info:

This spring I am teaching choir and guitar classes.  My classroom is room 134.  My school phone number is 270-762-7374,  ext. 6134.  My school email is mark.dycus@calloway.kyschools.us.  I am at school in my classroom, (my very lonely classroom) every school day.  Do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions.  I will officially be attending these contacts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day.

Assignments for choir and guitar are found in Edmentum.  Log on to Edmentum, https://login.edmentum.com/ and click on Flex Assignments to access the lessons assigned for Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) days.  You will need the Account Login, ccsd1.  The username is, I am told, your student email address.  Your password is one you should have gotten the last day we were in school, March 13.  (Wow, that seems like so long ago!)  If you don’t have that login password, we can get it from Ms. Spiceland.

Take good care of yourselves and I hope to see you soon!

Welcome!  I don't know why, but I have to have music, and lots of it, everyday.  Teaching gives me an opportunity to share my love of music with others and to help them develop their musical abilities as well.

Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, I received my Bacheor of Music Education degree from Murray State University in 1977.  I then went to Louisville and in 1981 competed a Master of Church Music degree at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. The next 13 years were spent in full time church music in Georgia, West Virginia, and Ohio, before returning to western Kentucky to teach choral music at Calloway County High School in 1995.
